The title says it all. I'm looking for low cost to start with, but I welcome comments that question my wisdom!

Why are you looking for a lawyer? Different folks have different specialisations and you'll get different recommendations depending upon whether you're looking for advice on IPR, employee contracts or commercial property.

For tech-related stuff, I had a good chat with John Pope from Burness a while back, who seemed very clued up on technology and law. Let me know if you want me to do an introduction.

Gavin Tosh is a lovely guy who runs a solicitors firm in Edinburgh aimed at small businesses.

I haven't required his services personally so can't give you any first hand experiences of working with him, but I have met him a couple of times and chatted about various legal issues which affect businesses large and small and was impressed with his insight and understanding.
